Armchair from the Polish People’s Republic era, model 300-137b, designed by Mieczysław Puchała. Fully revitalised.
Manufactured at Bystrzyckie Zakłady Meblowe in the 1950s.

The history of the furniture factory in Świdnica is troubled and closely linked not only to the town history but also to the country’s economic history. The sawmill which operated in town even before WWII constitutes the cornerstone for the post war timber industry in Świdnica. They were among others the toy and sports equipment factory on Butsrzycka Street, the furniture factory on ul. Bolesława Chrobrego, furnirute factory on ul. Kliczkowska (before WWII Carl Wolff was its owner, after WWI he took over the buildings from Schlag & Söhne).

The 300-123 armchair model was designed by Mieczysław Puchała in the 1950s and manufactured at Bystrzyckie Zakłady Meblowe. It was created in the same year as type 366 designed by Chierowski but is was not as popular.

Made of beech. The armchair has been disassembled, the old coats of varnish fully removed, the armchair has then been glued together again, treated with Chinese natural and eco-friendly oil.  New upholstery, foam, webbing, and interfacing. Hand sewn. High quality fabric, durable, able to withstand 20 000 double rubs.. Internal scaffolding has been sanded down thoroughly and coated with a protective layer. Quilted seat makes the armchair look elegant. All the legs with good quality felt pads. Cult armchair model from the Polish People’s Republic era.
