Description

B-7522 armchair designed by Zenon Bączyk.
Fully revitalized. Check

Made in Swarzędz Furniture Factories, 1960s.

The state-owned enterprise Swarzędz Furniture Factories (SFM) was created from the  pre-war furniture factories nationalized in 1952. Later, plants in other cities (including Kostrzyn, Poznań, Kościan and Rawicz) joined the factory in Swarzędz, and the name was changed to the Swarzędz Furniture Factory. In 1990, the company was privatized, as one of the first in the Third Polish Republic, and renamed as the Swarzędz Furniture Factories S.A. When the company debuted on the stock exchange in 1991, it had eight factories and employed almost 3,000 people. During 18 years, the share capital initially increased by issuance of shares was gradually squandered in unsuccessful investments (such as the purchase of the Jarocin Furniture Factories). In 2009, a decision was made to close the company.

B-7522 armchair was designed by Zenon Bączyk in the 1960s. It was produced in the Swarzędz Furniture Factories. Made of beech wood. The chair was disassembled, the wood has been stripped of old varnish coatings, glued, secured with environmentally friendly oil produced from natural Chinese oils. New upholstery, replaced foam, belts, interlining. Handsewn. Fabric of good quality, abrasion resistance of 20,000 rubs. New metal screws. Comfortable, beautiful and practical.
The cushions are zipped, which means covers can be washed in your household washing machine.
The iconic armchair model of the PRL era.

The legs of the armchair are “dressed” in warm, Christmas socks.
