Blaupunkt LAB 202 speakers.
Classic Vintage. Fully revitalised.
In our projects we do not use veneers that are thin, unreliable and, above all, not resistant to damage!
We use only the highest quality veneers,  i.e. wood sheets of 3-5mm thickness. Thanks to this solution and the bonding technology we have developed, our products are equipped with durable and beautiful enclosures.

Description

Blaupunkt LAB 202 speakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalised.

Blaupunkt was founded in November 1923 under the name Ideal Radiotelefon- & Apparatefabrik. The factory was located in Bollersdorf near Berlin, where headphones and crystal receivers were produced. Headphones with particularly good sound transmission capability were marked with a blue dot – a sign of quality control. Soon, customers only asked about headphones marked in this way and that is why in 1938 the blue dot (in German Blaupunkt) became the symbol of the brand and the official name of the company. Car radios became the company’s key product. In 1932 Blaupunkt launched the first AS 5 model in the world, and by 1959 it had already sold one million receivers of this type. After World War II, being part of the Bosch Blaupunkt concern, it moved its headquarters and production to Hildesheim. In the 1950s, the company also developed consumer electronics. In 1956, it introduced audio equipment with a HiFi button to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction, and in 1957 it produced the first transistor radio.

In the mid-90s, the company sold its devices in over 50 countries. In 1996, production was focused on high-quality multimedia car equipment, but 15 years later it again shifted to RTV equipment within Blaupunkt Global Brand Community. In 2015, Blaupunkt received the “Brands of the Century” award.

LAB 202 speakers were produced by Blaupunkt in the second half of the 1960s. They are distinguished by a beautiful, classic design characteristic of Blaupunkt products from that period, namely grill cloths formed by parallel strips of wood combined with the enclosure. Blaupunkt recommended the LAB 202 for radio receivers, especially its Salerno model.

The enclosures have been fully revitalized. Exotic amazaque wood adds amazing charm to the speakers. The wood finish is Chinese oil made from natural oils. The wood is extremely pleasant to the touch.
