Description

Braun L 310 loudspeakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.

Max Braun, a German mechanical engineer, founded a small shop in Frankfurt am Main in 1921, and began producing parts for radio sets two years later. In 1928, the company began to create entire sets and quickly became one of the most popular producers in Germany. Seven years later, a characteristic logotype with a great “A” inside was created. Then, at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937, Max Braun was awarded the “Special Achievements in Phonography” award.

At the end of World War II, the Frankfurt factory was almost completely destroyed. Max Braun and 150 employees began to rebuild their company, which quickly became a well-known producer of high-fidelity audio equipment. In the 1950s, the company created the famous SK line (turntable, radio and speakers in one) called “Schneewitchensarg” or “Snow White’s coffin”. In the same period, Braun began producing slide projectors and razors. In the 1970s, Braun focused on delivering products for the home, and then began selling or liquidating other divisions (including audio and high-fidelity). Braun emphasized that the flat L-series loudspeakers should be at the height of the head (or slightly above) of the sitting listener so that he could hear the fullness of the sounds.

The L310 are so-called “bookshelf” speakers launched by Braun in the early 70s, at a time when the outstanding German designer Dieter Rams was responsible for the brand’s design. The speakers are characterized by elegant simplicity and beautiful natural sound. According to Collegium Musicum this model: “Despite its humble size, delivers surprisingly round, well-graded and transparent sound without intrusive high frequency reproduction that can sometimes be found in small speakers. The sound does not seem flat even at low volume … ”

The enclosures have been completely revitalized. Pear wood adds incredible charm to the speakers. High quality finishing screws. New terminals. The wood finish is Chinese oil produced from natural oils, as well as natural, turpentine-based beeswax. The wood is very pleasant to the touch. Grilles made of high quality acoustic fabric.

Included are two speaker cables with a cross section of 2 × 2.5mm and length of 2x5m.
The set is 100% functional, the speakers are in perfect condition.
