Description
BRAUN Speakers AG L-480/1. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.
Max Braun, a German mechanical engineer, founded a small shop in Frankfurt am Main in 1921, and began producing parts for radio sets two years later. In 1928, the company began to create entire sets and quickly became one of the most popular producers in Germany. Seven years later, a characteristic logotype with a great “A” inside was created. Then, at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937, Max Braun was awarded the “Special Achievements in Phonography” award.
At the end of World War II, the Frankfurt factory was almost completely destroyed. Max Braun and 150 employees began to rebuild their company, which quickly became a well-known producer of high-fidelity audio equipment.
In the 1950s, the company created the famous SK line (turntable, radio and speakers in one) called “Schneewitchensarg” or “Snow White’s coffin”. In the same period, Braun began producing slide projectors and razors.
In the 1970s, Braun focused on delivering products for the home, and then began selling or liquidating other divisions (including audio and high-fidelity).
Braun emphasized that the flat L-series loudspeakers should be at the height of the head (or slightly above) of the sitting listener so that he could hear the fullness of the sounds.
BRAUN AG L-480/1 speakers have an exceptionally beautiful narrow shape. They have been designed with the option of hanging them indoors and they sound great when placed at the wall. They attract attention to the natural sound, which gives the listener the opportunity to capture many details and feel like at a concert. Perfect for listening to jazz, swing or blues.
The cases have been completely revitalized. The boxes are made of the exotic sapeli wood, front panel is made of Canadian maple wood. The finishing screws are high quality. Wood finish is made with Chinese oil produced of natural oils. The wood feels nice to touch. There is a new Braun laser cut logo in exotic Jatobe wood.
