Marantz is a company founded by Saul Marantz in New York in 1953. In the 1960s, it was bought by Superscope Inc., and then began to produce in Japan, in partnership with Standard Radio Corp., which in 1975 changed its name to Marantz Japan. In 1980, Marantz was bought by Philips, and Marantz Japan and Denon merged to form D & M Holdings. In 2008, Philips sold its shares in D & M Holdings. In 2014, Marantz Professional was acquired by inMusic Brands, and D + M Holding has been owned by Sound United LLC since 2017. From the beginning of its existence, Marantz was defined as hi-end (high-end), or exclusive, high-quality hi-fi equipment. The company had a huge impact on the development of audio systems, and the greatest successes in the 1970s.
The PM 350 is an amplifier from the first half of the 80s. Despite its small size, it is surprisingly powerful. The sound is very dynamic and selective. In the service book of this model, Marantz emphasized that it is an excellent design, based on selected, high-quality components, offering the highest quality stereo sound.
The enclosure has been completely revitalized, its metal elements have been sandblasted and painted using the automotive wet painting technique. The new side boards made of acajou wood give the set an elegant and refined look. The front panel is made of brushed aluminum.
The indicators on the front panel are illuminated in red colour. The device has been fully reviewed and serviced.
ST 450 is an analog tuner from the first half of the 80s equipped with a convenient digital display. In combination with the Marantz PM350 amplifier it gives the listener the opportunity to enjoy dynamic and pleasant sound.
