PGH Kompaktbox KB35A speakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.
In 1958, in the borough of Treptow (Berlin), Walter Giese and Kurt Ball founded a company which was initially engaged in repairing radio and TV equipment (mainly radio receivers, turntables and TV sets). Since 1969, the development department of PGH mostly designed amplifiers renowned for their power all over the GDR (also special models dedicated for discos). Two years later the company started to produce receivers and loudspeakers. In the 80s, the production and export of audio devices launched by PGH rose significantly. Currently, the company operates under the name of FERA-Funk GmbH and provides repair services of radio and TV appliances and mobile devices, as well as cable TV.
Kompaktbox KB35A are loudspeakers from the first half of the 70s, whose structure was based on broadband speakers. It is also a four-way model, thanks to which the sound is beautifully distributed in a room. The sound of the speakers is very natural and soft. In addition, Kompaktbox KB35A is a model that works great for both transistor and tube amplifiers.
The enclosures have been completely revitalized. Boxes made of exotic sapeli wood. Grill cloth made of high quality fabric. The wood finish is Chinese oil made from natural oils. The wood is very pleasant to the touch.
