Pioneer PL 112D turntable. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized. Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.
The device has been fully reviewed and serviced.
In our projects we do not use veneers that are thin, unreliable and, above all, not resistant to damage!
We use only the highest quality veneers,  i.e. wood sheets of 3-5mm thickness. Thanks to this solution and the bonding technology we have developed, our products are equipped with durable and beautiful enclosures.

Description

Pioneer PL 112D turntable. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized. Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.

In 1937 Nozomu Matsumoto created the first magnetoelectric speaker in Japan, and a year later, he registered in Tokyo the company with the name Fukuin Shokai Denki Seisakusho. In 1961, the company’s name was changed to Pioneer Electronic Corporation. However, the breakthrough came in 1962, when the company entered the Tokyo Stock Exchange and created the world’s first stereo system with speakers in separate housings. Four years later, Pioneer opened branches in the USA and in Europe.

In 1978, the company created one of the best-known and most powerful receivers in its history SX-1980. Pioneer can also be proud of great successes in the world of auto-moto, as it introduced in 1975 the world’s first automotive stereo subassembly, then in 1984 a CD player and GPS navigation in 1990. The company also played a major role in the development of DVDs, plasma TVs and Organic LED display technologies (OLED). The company is currently a part of Pioneer & Onkyo Corporation.

The Pioneer PL 112D is a turntable with many comfort-enhancing features, such as a lightweight, rigid aluminum headshell, low-capacitance output cable, dust cover hinges enabling easy installation and removal, and a smooth arm lift mechanism that protects records and stylus.

The PL-112 D motor drives the platter not via a pulley system but via a Pioneer belt transmission, this way motor vibration is damped and the overall signal-to-noise ratio is improved.
The belt made of durable polyurethane is resistant to temperature changes and aging. The 4-pole synchronous motor has a very precise and stable speed and runs virtually without any vibrations.
Stability is also enhanced by a good quality arm made of zinc alloy and equipped with a counterweight.

In order for the stylus to be perfectly guided along the center of the groove, a special anti-skid solution has been used and the geometry of the arm has been refined, which results in precise channel separation when playing stereo recordings.

The device has been fully reviewed and serviced.
