In 1937 Nozomu Matsumoto created the first magnetoelectric speaker in Japan, and a year later, in Tokyo, he registered the company under the name Fukuin Shokai Denki Seisakusho. In 1961, the company’s name was changed to Pioneer Electronic Corporation. However, the breakthrough came in 1962, when the company entered the Tokyo Stock Exchange and created the world’s first stereo system with speakers in separate housings. Four years later, Pioneer opened branches in the USA and in Europe. In 1978, the company created one of the best-known and most powerful receivers in its history SX-1980. Pioneer can also be proud of great successes in the world of auto-moto, as it introduced in 1975 the world’s first automotive stereo subassembly, then in 1984 a CD player and GPS navigation in 1990. The company also played a major role in the development of DVDs, plasma TVs and technologies Organic LED display (OLED). The company is currently part of Pioneer & Onkyo Corporation.

SE-L25 are extremely original, high-quality Pioneer headphones produced in the early 70s. This model is equipped with temples, and the headband connecting the earpieces is designed under the chin.

The SE-L25 headphones were described in the 1973 Pioneer catalog in the following way:

“… open headphone system of the highest quality and natural sound reproduction thanks to the use of ultra-thin polyester foil instead of ordinary paper speaker diaphragms …”, “… extremely light, so light that they do not hang on the head as usual, but can be worn over the ears …”, ” … a milestone in headphone production technology … ”

Old pads were replaced with properly selected substitutes made of eco-leather. All eco-leather elements (including the headband) have been cleaned, moisturized and protected with a lotion based on lanolin, aloe, beeswax and Carnauba wax.

Specially designed and hand-made solid headphone stands included. The material is plywood, varnished using the automotive wet painting technique, which gives the stands a beautiful look and makes them very pleasant to the touch. Felt pads have been affixed to the base to prevent furniture scratches.

Collector’s headphones. In perfect condition!
