Revox AX3 – 3 loudspeakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.
In our projects we do not use veneers that are thin, unreliable and, above all, not resistant to damage!
We use only the highest quality veneers,  i.e. wood sheets of 3-5mm thickness. Thanks to this solution and the bonding technology we have developed, our products are equipped with durable and beautiful enclosures.

Description

Revox AX3 – 3 loudspeakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.

Studer is a Swiss designer and producer of audio equipment for recording studios. The company was founded in Zurich in 1948 by Willi Studer. Reel-to-reel tape recorders first produced by Studer were called Dynavox. Dynavox 100 was succeeded by the first Revox recorder, the T26 from 1952. The name Revox was adopted as the brand of commercial “reels” in 1951, while professional studio equipment kept the name Studer. In 1990, Willi Studer sold the Studer Revox Group to Motor-Columbus AG. One year later, Motor-Columbus split the company into Studer (Pro), Revox (HiFi) and a production division. The extensive reorganization ended with the sale of the Studer Group to Harman International Inc. in March 1994.

In addition to the highest quality reel-to-reel tape recorders, the Revox brand also encompassed valued cassette tape recorders, CD players, amplifiers and tuners – most often based on Studer’s studio designs.

The AX3-3 are “bookshelf” monitors launched by Revox-Studer in the late 70s. This model surprises by its magnificent sound, well balanced across the frequency spectrum. It is characterized by exceptional precision, wide soundstage and beautiful timbre. All this could be achieved thanks to the design based on high quality Isophone and Studer speakers. Another noticeable feature is the classic and timeless design of this Swiss project.

The enclosures have been completely revitalized. American cherry wood adds incredible charm to the speakers. The wood finish is Chinese oil produced from natural oils, as well as natural, turpentine-based beeswax. The wood is very pleasant to the touch. High quality finishing screws. The fronts of the speakers and metal elements have been cleaned of old coatings and painted using the automotive wet painting technique. White and black varnish were used and protected with a colourless satin one.

Included are two speaker cables with a cross section of 2 × 2.5mm and length of 2x5m.
The set is 100% functional, the speakers are in perfect condition.
