Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. was established in 1947 as a transformer manufacturer, but in the 1960s it gained a reputation as a major producer of audio components. Despite its huge popularity (especially in the United States) in the 60s and 70s, after 1985 the company started to bring much lower profits than its rivals (Sony, Pioneer or Technics). It was the end of the era of hi-end equipment development, which was associated with the increase in sales of personal computers. The company Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. then focused on the production of high-end components in Japan, and also began to produce high-end TV sets and other video equipment while stopping exports. At the end of the 1990s, the brand name was used on video devices manufactured by other companies. Finally, Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. as a part of Grande Holdings went bankrupt in 2014. It is worth noting that Sansui was the first company that used transformers in audio equipment, and introduced a high-voltage tube-transistor (hybrid) and QS / RM (Quadrasonic System / Regular Matrix) to the market, which allowed to get the four-channel sound from the two-channel sound.
The SS-30 are the highest quality stereo headphones that allow you to escape into a vibrant musical reality. Despite their exceptional lightness, they achieve the same dynamics and delicate sound quality as the best speaker systems. Greatly balanced bass and “pitches” as well as natural transitions make the sound exceptionally rich and clear.
Old pads were replaced with properly selected substitutes made of eco leather, which were moisturized and protected with a lotion based on lanolin, aloe, beeswax and Carnauba wax.
Specially designed and hand-made solid headphone stand. The material is high quality solid beech wood covered with Chinese oil produced from natural oils, which gives the stands a beautiful look and makes them very pleasant to the touch. At the top of the stand, the headband rests on a lining made from natural leather, and felt pads have been affixed to the base to prevent furniture from scratches.
