Work Cooperative “Prometap” operated during the PRL in Bydgoszcz at 3 Startowa Street, in the current location of a building materials warehouse. The plant specialized in the production of upholstered furniture. “Prometap” belonged to the National Association of Furniture Cooperatives in Warsaw, which was closed down as a result of the systemic transformation.
The swivel club chair was manufactured in the Bydgoszcz plant at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. This is one of the most comfortable PRL models, which were most often featured in hotel lobbies.
The armchairs have been completely disassembled, the wood was stripped of old varnish coatings, protected with environmentally friendly oil produced from natural Chinese oils. Beech wood. All metal elements have been cleaned, sandblasted and painted with high temperature powder paint. New upholstery and high density foam. Legs with felt pads. Handsewn. Fabric of very good quality, abrasion resistance of 30,000 rubs. New metal screws.
