Description

Yamaha NS 1000M loudspeakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.

In 1887 Torakusu Yamaha built his first keyboard wind instrument. Ten years later Torakusu established Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd. and produced pianos and reed organs, which were  rewarded in 1904 with Honorary Main Reward at the World Fair in Saint Louis. In the following years, the company extended its offer  of musical instruments and produced pianos, acoustic guitars, trumpets, percussions, electric guitars, etc. The company also began to produce audio equipment. The first turntables were created in the 1920s, but especially valued hi-fi devices (mainly amplifiers and CD players) and high-quality loudspeakers that complemented them were created in the 70’s and 80’s. In 1955, as the Yamaha Motor Company, the company also dealt with the production of two-wheelers, and from the early 70’s, professional sound equipment currently known as Yamaha Pro Audio.

The NS-1000M is a breakthrough project from Yamaha, launched in the 70s. The company decided to create a high-end speaker that delivers wide bandwidth, high power and extremely low distortion. In effect, the model was distinguished by a very high precision of sound reproduction and sound clarity. As a result, the NS-1000M speakers became the favourite of American and Japanese recording studios. Yet, they are best known for their distinctive Beryllium tweeters and mid-range speakers that can pick up every nuance of sound.

Moreover, the NS-1000M is the result of Yamaha engineers’ work, aimed at extracting all the advantages of the commercial NS-1000 model and transferring them to studio market. Eventually, many enhancements increased the sound performance of this professional model, including the improved Yamaha JA-3058A woofer with its metal grille. Thanks to this, the NS-1000M monitors deliver even clearer sound in treble and mid-range, as well as faster bass.

The enclosures have been completely revitalized. Rosewood adds incredible charm to the speakers. The wood finish is Chinese oil produced from natural oils, as well as natural, turpentine-based beeswax. The wood is very pleasant to the touch. High quality finishing screws. Revitalized potentiometers. Speaker mesh has been cleaned of old coatings and painted using the automotive wet painting technique. Original brand sticker. Capacitors in the crossover in perfect condition.

Included are two speaker cables with a cross section of 2 × 2.5mm and length of 2x5m.
The set is 100% functional, the speakers are in perfect condition.
